Dry Brushing: A massage variation, brushing the skin in patterns that supports lymphatic health. This style is also great for skin exfoliation and with frequent use has the potential to reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks. This style is also gentle enough for daily use.
Hand and Foot Scrub: A sugar or salt scrub massaged into the hands and feet. Improves circulation and exfoliates leaving the hands and feet soft.
Exfoliating Back Scrub: A deep exfoliation massaged into the back which is followed by a soothing cream enhanced with essential oils.
Paraffin Dip: Paraffin is often placed on the hands and feet however it can also be placed on other areas with inflammation, arthritis, fibromyalgia, or areas that just need skin softening such as knees, shoulders, or back. Please be specific as to where you would like your treatment before the session begins. The entire session takes 30 to 45 min depending on how much is being covered. It is highly suggested to hydrate well before and after.
Ear Candling: We use Biosun ear candles which are certified in Germany for use as a medical device. There are a lot of myths about Ear Candling and misinformation out there so if there are any specific questions please email KMathews@MassageTherapy.com. Our ear candles are free from paraffin, have a safety filter in them to capture residue and unburned wax. After each candle is burned we include some lymphatic massage durring the 60 min. session around the face and shoulders.
It is always a good idea to connect with your primary care doctor before beginning any new type of treatment.
